Update on TLJ Saga (including Dreamfall)

Okay, so...

I looked back on what I wrote about TLJ Saga and realized that I was quite harsh. And I got a fact wrong. It was never announced that Dreamfall Chapters would be released in 2013. My bad.

I have a different opinion on the matter now. And it is due to only one thing. The Red Thread Games forums.

I now believe that releasing the game in episodes is a really good way to do things. Yes, we have to wait even longer for the rest of the game, but this way, we get to see some of the game on the intended release date and, in the meantime, we get to talk about what we've seen and what has been revealed in the forums.

This is amazing.

I just joined the forums yesterday and have already engaged in deep, amazing discussion with many members. I realize now that releasing the games in episodes allows us to eat up every single detail and discuss it before moving on in the game. If the game had been released as a whole, we'd lose some of those details in the grand scheme of it all. We also wouldn't get to come up with theories about what is going on and what will happen in the game.

For instance, we get to speculate about Saga, who she is and why she is important. She wouldn't be in the game at all if she wasn't important. We get to talk about Queenie and whether or not she is one of the Draic Kin. We get to debate on whether The path that once was or The path that will be is better, worse, or the same as each other, or which one we prefer. We get to talk about Reza, whether we think he is who he says he is or if he's been tampered with in some way. Whether he is a completely different person just wearing Reza's skin or not.

We get to talk about everything. And it is amazing.
